The business model for a typical panel beating organization (Automotive Body Repairer ABR) has not evolved to adapt to the changing economic environment. Farber Coach Works is constantly looking for ways to improve and adapt its offering to meet its customer demands and set the standard in sector.
We believe that it is time for a radical change and therefore will be launching an offering that is both state-of-the-art and efficient in meeting customer needs. Farber Coach works is a centralized Auto Body Repair operation that is specially designed to restore vehicles in less than five working days on average from receiving the parts to the delivery of the vehicle. It is the size, flow and processes in the business that ensures that we are one of the most efficient Auto Body Repairers in Cape Town.
Kuven Reddy, an entrepreneur, seasoned businessmen and community leader has been at the forefront of innovation and technology in the ABR sector. He together with his wife & partner Shireen have successfully grown and maintained another ABR business in KZN called Ross Champion Motors.
Farber Coach Works main branch situated in 21 Long Claw Drive, Montague Gardens premises is 2 000 square meters and houses both the main workshop and administration hub of the organization. Due to increased demand from our business partners, we needed to increase capacity so we opened Farber Coach Works inEpping and Ottery.
As an investment Farber Coach Works is one of the few businesses that is positioned for growth under the leadership of the Farber Coach Works management team.
The Farber Coach Works group was launched in 1990. Our single minded purpose is "getting our client’s vehicle back on the road", we call it our essence! We are in the business that engages with people after they have been in an accident, so it is in our best interest that our clients do not go through any additional trauma to get their vehicle back on the road.
We have positioned Farber Coach Works as an extension of Insurance Companies, Brokers and Car Manufacturers. Our systems and processes are specifically designed to ensure that the claims process is made as painless as possible for both our clients and Insurance Partners.
Farber has premises in Montague Gardens. The Long Claw Drive premises which we call Farber HQ is 2 000 square meters and houses both the main workshop and administration hub of the organization. The layout and design of the business is a deliberate attempt at changing the perception of a typical panel beating business. We want clients to feel secure that they are leaving one of their most valuable assets with a professional organization. The layout of the workshop ensures that the flow of the work carried out on a vehicle is done as efficiently as possible.
This is a 1600 m² custom designed premises positioned in a secure business park and in the most developing industrial hub in the Southern suburbs. The branch is equipped with the latest machinery and technology of the ABR sector
We have been awarded the merSETA Top Training Company Award and support of the national skills development strategy. Apprentices are employed at Farber Coach Works in both the ABR (Automotive Body Repair) and spray painting streams. While the grants for these apprentices are appreciated this does not cover all the cost to actually have and train them at Farber Coach Works. This is further evidence that we are committed to training and empowerment of the staff in the organization.
Our employees are trained by the car manufacturer themselves. Our "quality at source" process ensures that we deliver the best workmanship and customer experience in the industry. This ensures that when our clients collect their vehicles from Farber Coach Works it will be in showroom condition. All the major car manufacturers have given us the rights to repair their make of vehicles.
We are approved by all major Insurance companies and understand their claims processes. We facilitate the completion of the claims and assessment process.
Our highly skilled employee's restore our client's vehicles to the highest possible standards. Our remuneration and incentive model together with our quality assurance systems are specifically designed to ensure that they live the joint purpose of "getting you back on the road".
We use the latest rack bench system, coupled with a computerized measuring system called Celette and Chief to handle major structural repairs. This equipment is maintained and utilised according to manufacturer's specifications which guarantee that the restoration process is done according to the vehicle manufacturer's standards.
Our workshop has numerous dry flatting preparation bays and infrared curing systems to ensure that the panels are prepared for painting using the most technically advanced and up to date methods. Paintwork is carried out in dust free down draught spray booths and curing ovens. We only use Nexa paints which is 100% water based eco-friendly paints.
The assembly process is done by experienced technicians whom live our essence "getting you back on the road". Our just in time (JIT) procurement system for parts ensure that the right part is delivered at the right time.
We take quality assurance very seriously at Farber. QA is practiced at each stage in the repair process; we call it "quality at source". The final QA process (before the vehicle and owner is reunited) is done with precision and care. In fact our head of QC is rewarded for finding faults, which means no vehicle goes out with a fault or blemish.
If a vehicle is damaged or stolen whilst in our possession, our generous public liability insurance is in place should anything happen to a client's vehicle.
We have formal agreements and relationships with most major Insurance Companies and Brokers.
